Gale Hayman has harnessed this magic in micropulverized refractive particles suspended in a light-weight tinted gel called youth glow. These microscopic particles catch light and reflect it at the microscopic level thereby creating a halo effect much like the soft focus lens which softens lines and visually masks imperfections without the look of heavy makeup- which in most cases accentuates imperfections rather than hides them.
